Halloween are great for creating ghoulish Halloween food and candy treats Halloween is meant to be the most frightening and scary night of the year. The are gruesome but usually taste great. Halloween party should be fun, scary and a little gross. Halloween is the best time to scare people, and with all the props and technology available today, it is not difficult to put together something really scary. Halloween party food can be really fun to make, it’s the time of the year when you can make your food look unappetizing and people will still want to eat it. Halloween parties are a great excuse to be creative and make some scary but tasty treats. There will be plenty of candy floating around, so you can balance things a bit with some healthy snacks. Halloween party should be fun, scary and a little gross. Throw some candy corn into a dish and set out a bowl of apples and you're all set for a Halloween party.
Eyeball Tacos
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 package (103/4 ounces) Taco Bell home Originals taco dinner kit
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes
Sour cream
Sliced, pitted black olives
Directions:
Step 1: Mix meat and seasoning mix.
Step 2: Shape into 36 1-inch balls; place in a 13x9 baking dish.
Step 3: Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
Step
4: Fill each of 12 taco shells with one meatball, taco sauce, lettuce, and tomato.
Step 5: Top with 2 additional meatballs dipped in sour cream.
Step 6: Garnish with olives to create the eyes.
Popcorn Balls
Ingredients:
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup margarine or butter
½ cup dark corn syrup
¼ teaspoon of salt
8 cups of popped popcorn
Directions:
Step 1: Heat all ingredients except popcorn until simmering over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
Step 2: Remove from heat and stir in popcorn until well coated.
Step 3: Let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 4: Shape into 8 balls. Dipping your hands into cold water makes it easier.
Step 5: Let the popcorn balls cool completely on waxed paper.
Step 6: Wrap each ball separately in orange cellophane. Tie with orange and black curling ribbon.
Creepy Witch’s Fingers
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 2/3 cups flour
1 te4asppon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup almonds, whole, blanched
1 tube red decorator’s gel
Directions:
Step 1: In a bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla.
Step 2: Beat in flour, baking soda and salt.
Step 3: Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Step 4: Work with one quarter of the dough at a time, keep the rest refrigerated.
Step 5: Roll one teaspoon of dough into a finger shape.
Step 6: Press almond on the end of each cookie for a fingernail.
Step 7: Squeeze in center to form knuckle shape.
Step 8: Using a paring knife, make slashes in several places to form knuckle.
Step 9: Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Step 10: Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until pale golden.
Step 11: Let cool for three minutes.
Step 12: Lift up almond and squeeze red decorators gel onto nail bed. Press almond back in place so gel oozes out. You can also make slashes on fingers and fill them with “blood.”
Step 13: Remove from baking sheet and let cool on racks. Halloween party recipes should be fun, scary and a little gross. |
